Cumbiamberas
Cumbia is the main dance in the Carnival of Barranquilla. In this dance men court women and women flirt in response. Cumbia comes from musical and cultural syncretism of indigenous, black and, to a lesser extent, Europeans in the region of the Magdalena River’s delta.
